Trust & verification

Updated April 25, 2026

Trust on ShipKith is built from three independent things, not one rolled-up score. Each can be improved on its own.

Standing — your community track record

Standing measures how you've behaved on the platform. It rises with completed trips, strong ratings, and clean handoffs. Standing levels:

  • Kith — new on the platform. Ship up to $300 per drop.
  • Familiar — at least 3 completed trips and a 4.0+ rating. Ship up to $1,000.
  • Regular — 10+ trips, 4.3+ rating. Higher visibility in matches.
  • Elder — 25+ trips, 4.6+ rating. Fee discount and top placement.
  • Pillar — long-standing community member with no incidents. Featured carrier status.

You can't pay to skip standing — it's earned over time.

Verification — identity check

Verification is binary, per item: it's either done or not. Categories include email, phone, government ID, and (for businesses) business registration. Each completed verification adds a tick to your profile.

The combination of "Familiar standing + Government ID verified" is what most carriers and droppers look for before a first match.

Community membership

A community is a real-world group you belong to: a church, an alumni association, an African grocery, a regional diaspora group. Communities can vouch for you, raising your standing baseline and unlocking community-specific carriers.

Membership is verified by the community admin, not auto-approved. Once verified, the community appears on your profile and you can match with other members at preferential rates.
