Pricing
How much does it cost to send a parcel?
Pricing depends on weight, route, and the Carrier's offer. ShipKith suggests a range when you post a Drop. Most diaspora-priced parcels save 70–90% versus traditional shipping companies.
What's the platform fee?
ShipKith takes a small percentage on each completed match. The fee decreases as your standing increases — Pillars pay 0%. Hub handoffs add a small flat Hub fee on top.
Safety
What if my package goes missing?
Funds are held in escrow until delivery is confirmed. If a parcel doesn't arrive, you can open a dispute within 7 days; we work with both sides to resolve case by case.
Are Carriers vetted?
Carriers can ship without verification, but most Droppers will only accept matches with a verified government ID and a completed community membership. Standing is also visible — a "Kith" carrier has no track record yet, while an "Elder" or "Pillar" has dozens of clean trips.
Payments
When do I pay?
You pay only after a Carrier accepts your Drop. Funds sit in escrow with ShipKith until delivery.
When does the Carrier get paid?
Automatically, once delivery is confirmed. Payouts hit your linked account weekly.
Which payment methods are supported?
Currently cards (Stripe) for Droppers. Mobile money for Carrier payouts (USA/Canada → Cameroon corridors). More methods are added per corridor as we expand.
Account
Can I switch between Drop Mode and Carry Mode?
Yes — the same account works for both. Your trust, reviews, communities, and wallet are shared.
Can I have a business account?
Yes. Upgrade from your profile to add commercial rates, invoicing, and the Verified Business badge once your KYB is approved.
