Getting started
Updated April 25, 2026
ShipKith connects two people in the African diaspora community: someone who needs to send something home (a Dropper) and someone already travelling there (a Carrier). The platform helps you find each other, agree on terms, and complete the handoff with built-in trust.
Create your account
Download ShipKith from TestFlight (iOS) or Play Internal Testing (Android) using the invite link you received. Sign up with email, Apple, or Google. New accounts start as Individual — you can upgrade to a Business account later from your profile.
Pick a role for each shipment
The same account works for both directions:
- Drop Mode — you have something to send.
- Carry Mode — you have spare luggage on an upcoming trip.
You can switch between roles any time. Your trust, reviews, and wallet are shared across both.
Verify yourself before your first match
You can post a Drop or a Trip immediately, but matches only complete once both sides clear basic verification. Open Trust & Verification in your profile to:
- Verify your email and phone.
- Upload a government ID for identity check.
- Join a community (church, association, African shop) for a trust boost.
The more verified you are, the higher your shipping cap and the better your match priority.
Your first match
When a Drop and a Trip line up, ShipKith proposes the match to both sides. Once accepted, you can chat, agree on a meeting venue, and complete the handoff with our QR code system. Payment is held in escrow until delivery is confirmed.
